PCNL currently houses twenty four tamarins. Some live in family groups, while others have been paired male-female for mating. Several of the tamarins in this colony were conceived and born at PCNL. The tamarins are named after philosophers, linguists and cognitive scientists, many of whom have worked in the lab. Some of them have beaded collars; newcomers use these to tell the tamarins apart.
