Research in the lab is focused on the behavioral and neural mechanisms of social functioning in healthy adults and individuals suffering from psychiatric problems, with a particular emphasis on social functioning in schizophrenia and related disorders.

Individuals with schizophrenia have problems building and maintaining social relationships. The lab is investigating the exact nature of social functioning deficits, the consequences that it creates for schizophrenia patients, and how these deficits can be improved. The lab is also committed to investigating core social processes in healthy adults as way to better understand social dysfunction in psychopathology.
