Biographical Note

Heather Latham is an ex-social worker who left the field to pursue graphic and web design after years of volunteering to do design tasks at work. Prior to Harvard, Heather worked at REACH, a domestic violence organization in Waltham, and the first in the state to provide shelter to male and transgender survivors of domestic violence. While at REACH, Heather worked on issues as they intersected with domestic and sexual violence: LGBT cultural competency, access to health care, poverty, and prostitution/sex work. While she is happy she finally found her way to design, she is equally glad to be in touch with social justice issues through the work being done in the Sociology Department.
