Biographical NoteMandy Bardsley studied philosophy at Boston University where she earned her BA in 2008. Having worked in the private sector for five years, she came to Harvard with a strong background in graphic and web design to support its esteemed faculty in the Sociology Department, where she currently designs marketing pieces, maintains faculty and course web sites, and assists with research. She currently takes German courses with an interest in pursuing a higher degree in German Languages and Literatures with a particular interest in Weimar culture. She also acts as a teaching and research assistant in philosophy, and is pursuing 2 certifications in graphic and web design at Boston University's Digital Media Art's school in the College of Communication. In her spare time, Mandy explores French literature and film, ancient Greek and Roman culture and philosophy, and has recently been enamored by Chinese and Korean film. She has a great love for boxing and cycling and maintains the website for the CHAF, a nonprofit organization that helps break the cycle of homelessness by raising funds to assist with the startup costs of securing permanent housing in Cambridge. 10/07/2008SUGGESTED LINKS
