Ph.D.s on the MoveRecent Graduates at Leading Universities and DepartmentsMany of the graduates of Harvard's Sociology, Social Policy, and Organizational Behavior Ph.D. programs have gone on to accept faculty positions at leading universities world-wide and other top-ranked graduate programs around the country. Others have taken up key research positions at foundations, research institutes, and the government. The influence of Harvard Sociology in producing the next generation of scholars is far in excess of what would be expected by our small size alone. Indeed, by some accounts we are the leading department in placement of graduates in major departments. The following is a list of just some of our recent Ph.D. graduates in Sociology, with links to their own websites. A full list of dissertations awarded from 1932-2004 (which includes a "who's who" of sociologists over the last 75 years), and a list of graduates (1999-2006), including graduates of the Organizational Behavior Program, may be found in the Quick Link section to the left.
