Biographical Note

Carly Knight graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in 2007, with a double major in Economics and Political Science. Prior to joining the department, she worked at the Urban Institute as a Research Associate in the Justice Policy Center. There, her research topics included neighborhood disorder, prisoner re-entry, and the impact of marriage and relationships on returning offenders. At Harvard, Carly plans to study the dynamic processes of neighborhood change, especially as they pertain to the development and maintenance of mixed-income communities. She is also more generally interested in residential mobility and the impact of neighborhood context and family composition on juvenile delinquency.
