Biographical Note

Maocan Guo graduated magna cum laude in July 2004 from Renmin University of China with a Bachelor of Laws in Sociology. Additionally, he graduated in August 2006 from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a M.Phil in Sociology. He has received several awards including the Aage B. Sorenson Award from the ISA RC28 in the Netherlands, 2006. His current research projects include educational stratification, occupational mobility and labor market inequality structures in China.
