Biographical Note

Carl Gershenson was born outside of Philadelphia and lived in southeastern Pennsylvania until leaving for college at the University of Chicago. While there Carl studied with James Davis, who became his B.A. adviser and through whom he became involved with the General Social Survey at the National Opinion Research Center. Carl worked for NORC for a year before leaving for graduate studies. While at Chicago, Carl also minored in Russian studies, and spent a summer studying at Saint Petersburg State University.

Research Interests
Survey design and Quantitative analysis. Interested in stratification, knowledge and media.
