Biographical Note

Caitlin Daniel is a doctoral student in sociology. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Caitlin received her B.A. in sociology and Spanish from Smith College. After graduating, Caitlin was awarded a Fulbright grant to study how indigenous parents from rural Bolivia participate in urban public schools. Caitlin's current research examines how these rural-to-urban migrants understand "proper" childrearing. Caitlin is also a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
