Biographical Note

Geniece is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton (magna cum laude, with honors) where she concentrated in sociology and minored in Spanish. Born in Mandeville, Jamaica and raised in Queens, New York, Geniece is interested in exploring how crime in urban contexts affect youth. Currently, Geniece is examining how community organizers in high-risk communities in Boston understand crime and make sense of the relationship between law enforcement and offenders.
