Biographical Note

Originally from Mason, Tennessee, Steven graduated with an A.B. from Princeton University in 2007. There, he majored in sociology with a minor in African-African Studies, earning high honors from the sociology department. Steven's research interests generally concern racial and ethnic relations, inequality in the workplace, social capital, socioeconomic inequality, and culture. Since arriving at Harvard, he has focused his work on racial differences in employment and job search outcomes.
