Clemens NoelkeLecturer on SociologyBiographical NoteClemens Noelke received his Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim in 2010. During his Ph.D. studies, he was employed as research associate and later post-doctoral fellow at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES). His research focuses on the effects of institutions on social inequalities in education systems and on labor markets. Recent work has examined the effect of employment regulations and different forms of organizing vocational training on youth labor market outcomes. His current research investigates the formation of non-cognitive skills, social effects of job loss and the changing distribution of unemployment and atypical employment in advanced Western countries. 07/05/2011
