Step Seven: Submission

Abstract preparation and submission

In addition to including an abstract in your thesis (see following section on Thesis Formatting), you should submit a draft abstract to the Psychology Undergraduate Office by 4 p.m. on Thursday, 25 February 2010. You must submit this in person; neither e-mails nor submission by another person will be accepted. The abstract is a very brief (paragraph-length, usually no more that 350 words) summary of your research findings; journal article abstracts provide good models. In the abstract you submit on Feb 25, include your name, date (February 25, 2010), the names of your thesis supervisor(s) and readers, and your thesis title. Many of you will want to revise your abstract and title after Feb 25, and this is perfectly acceptable.
