Because original research in psychology involves the experimental study of humans or animals, careful planning is essential and begins during the junior year. This section of the concentration website describes the steps involved in planning, conducting, and presenting thesis research. We encourage you to browse this section as you are deciding whether to pursue thesis honors, and if you do decide to write a thesis, we expect you to know the material in this section.
