Sample Paths of Study

**Paths have been updated to reflect Class of 2010 requirements.**

The Department has designed its concentration requirements to make both generalized and specialized programs of study possible.  This page gives several sample paths through the concentration.  These are examples of ways you may shape the psychology requirements to your interests.  These paths are not the only ways to study psychology or particular areas within the field;  instead, you should use these paths as examples, as templates which you may freely modify.  Psychology concentration advisers are ready and willing to help you shape a program of study to meet your particular needs and interests.

• General Psychology Path for students with broad interests in the field
• Life Sciences Path for students with interests in the Social and Cognitive Neurosciences Track
• Pre-Medical Path for students with interests in medical careers and/or in studying psychology emphasizing the brain
• Pre-Clinical Path for students with interests in clinical careers and/or in studying psychology emphasizing the level of the person
• Pre-Professional Path for students with interests in legal, organizational, or business careers and/or in studying psychology emphasizing the level of the group
