Steps to Declare Psychology as your Concentration

1) Familiarize yourself with the Psychology Undergraduate Program website. Here you can learn about program options, requirements, current faculty research, and advising.

2) If you think Psychology is for you, download a Plan of Study* from the Advising Program Office website.

3) Contact the Concentration Adviser in your house (click here for a list of advisers by house) to set up an appointment. To prepare to review the Plan of Study with your concentration adviser, look through the Psychology section of the course catalog in advance to see which courses interest you and look at the Requirements page of this website learn what courses are required. Keep in mind when specific courses need to be completed by, prerequisites for courses, and Core/General Education requirements when completing your Plan of Study. To help in advising, please bring the Plan of Study as well as the 8-semester worksheet with you to your advising appointment.

4) After reviewing the Plan of Study with your concentration adviser and having both your concentration adviser and your sophomore adviser* sign the form, return the completed form to either your House by the house deadline or the Office of the Registrar, 20 Garden Street by Nov. 18, 2009 for the Class of 2012.

*if you are switching concentrations, please contact the psychology concentration adviser in your house for help in completing a Plan of Study.
